Have you ever come across an online series platform that allows you to cancel your subscription before its validity ends? Wouldn’t it be easier if viewers were allowed to unsubscribe to a streaming service when they wish to? This will allow users to have subscriptions only when they have time for the shows. The good news is that similar to Netflix, Max, and Hulu, you can cancel Sling TV subscriptions too.

What is Sling TV?

Like any other OTT platform, Sling TV provides access to a variety of shows, series, and movies without any external equipment.

This was actually the first app-based TV service that enables streaming of live TV and on-demand content with the use of the internet. It is a subsidiary of its parent company, dish Network. It was founded on February 9, 2015, when online streaming services became popular.

Sling TV not only allows its users to cancel the subscription, but you can also change the subscription in the middle of the billing cycle and pause the subscription anytime.

  • If you’re using an ad-blocker or VPN, consider disabling it temporarily.

Deleting the App vs. Subscription Cancellation

Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. You must cancel it online, as described in the steps above.

What Happens After You Cancel Sling TV?

Sling TV Refund Policy Explained

Becoming a Sling TV subscriber offers flexibility unlike traditional TV subscriptions. Here’s a breakdown of what you need to know:

  1. No Contracts, No Strings Attached – With Sling TV, you’re never locked into a contract. This means you have the freedom to cancel your subscription whenever you wish.
  2. Cancellation During Active Subscription – Should you decide to end your subscription, rest assured that you won’t lose access immediately. Your service remains active, allowing you to enjoy content until the end of your current billing cycle or renewal date.
  3. Free Trial Cancellations – It’s important to note that if you cancel during a free trial period, your access is terminated instantly. No lingering benefits or extended viewing time is granted.
  4. Refund Policy – As with many streaming services, Sling TV does not provide refunds for prepaid or partially used months. It’s designed this way to give you full access to your subscription until your next billing cycle begins.
  5. More Information – If you’re curious about the finer details or have questions regarding the cancellation policy, you can dive deeper by checking out Sling TV’s Terms of Use.
